Founded in 2005, The HUB of Habersham is a faith-driven nonprofit dedicated to ending youth isolation in Habersham County, Georgia. Through mentorship, peer connection, and spiritual guidance, we create a supportive environment where students experience emotional, social, and spiritual growth.
WHY IT MATTERS
Many youth in our county face serious challenges: social isolation, limited access to mentors, and few safe spaces for connection and growth. Contributing factors include family instability, socioeconomic struggles, mental health issues, and the absence of youth-specific community resources.
We’re here to change that.
By addressing these barriers, The HUB empowers young people to thrive—not just in the classroom or church, but in everyday life. Surveys, volunteer feedback, and participation data reveal a consistent need: more opportunities for youth to be seen, heard, and loved.
HOW WE HELP
Teach One to Lead One
A weekly character-building program offered in schools and after-school settings, focused on essential values like respect, integrity, self-control, and teamwork. It gives students the tools to lead purposeful lives and make wise decisions.
FOCUS
Monthly inclusive gatherings that create a safe, worship-like environment outside the church walls. Youth engage in meaningful conversations, mentorship, and activities designed to build life skills, confidence, and community.
PROVEN IMPACT
The HUB serves over 300 students annually, achieving:
- An 80% program graduation rate
- Thousands of volunteer mentor hours
- Serving students from 5th to 12th grade
- Consistent positive feedback from families, schools, and community partners
